Dr. Adam Day is an experienced Research Chemist with over 7 years of experience in the development of functional carbonaceous materials. Before joining Concrete4Change, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Universities of Stuttgart and Würzburg, developing novel and sustainable nanostructured carbon-based catalysts for CO2 capture and recycling. He obtained his PhD in Chemistry from Cardiff University in 2020, undertaking the development of hybrid biomaterial composites containing nanocarbon functional elements. Owing to his diverse research background centered around the use of carbon nanomaterials, he is particularly experienced in analytical method development and spectroscopy within the context of complex and composite materials. He has authored several publications on the development and intensive characterization of carbon nanomaterials and in the development of multimodal molecular sensor technologies.
