Dr. Andrea Hamilton is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Materials Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. She obtained her PhD in Materials Science from the University of Edinburgh. Her research interests are in environmental sustainability, developing low cost materials for critical mineral sequestration and recycling (patent filed), cement mineralogy, chemo-mechanics of material degradation, archaeological materials, salt crystallisation and fluid flow in porous materials. She has held visiting positions at Oxford, Princeton and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
