Concrete4Change Trial with Holcim UK

Concrete4Change is excited to share this behind-the-scenes look at our latest successful trial. We're thrilled to collaborate with Holcim on a field trial of our innovative CO2 carrier technology at their headquarters in the UK.

The C4C carrier material is derived from waste calcium feedstock from Heidelberg Materials, then using our unique process, it is mixed with flue gas from Air Products and in this trial, added into Holcim’s concrete to deliver a near 50% increase in compressive strength in this trial above the reference concrete mix.

Our leading concrete chemistry expertise enables producers to create stronger, lower emission, CO2 sequestered concrete mixes with no change to how concrete is made. This trial marks another step in C4C’s scale up, with the goal to deliver our product into the concrete market at industrial scale by early 2027.
