We have an exciting opportunity for a chief financial officer to join the c-suite managerial team at Concrete4Change.

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (part time)

Location: Nottingham

Remuneration: £150,000 per annum (FTE), a blend of Salary and Share options

Start date and end date (approx): This is a permanent position and is available for immediate start. (Flexible on start date)

About us:

Concrete4Change (C4C) is a R&D company that is developing a ground-breaking technology to utilise and permanently mineralise CO2 in concrete. To date, C4C raised £4.5 million from private and public investors. The company is partly owned by two of the largest concrete manufacturers in the world, Siam Cement Group ($17 billion turnover) and Goldbeck GmbH (€7 billion turnover).

Job description:

As the CFO, you have an entrepreneurial mindset and the responsibility for leading financial initiatives which drive this business forward. You will work with the executive team to strategise fundraising, oversee the capital structure bugets, and manage the accounting and finance activities, covering £5 million pounds. You will be responsible for leading the next round of fundraising, Series A, by 2026.

Please consider this position is designed for an entrepreneur and is not a 9-5 job.

Person’s specifications

Essential:

  • B.Sc in one of the following fields, business, finance, banking, investment or accounting
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions and investor relations
  • More than 5 years of proven experience in financial management of startups.
  • Extensive experience leading fundraising in the tens of millions pounds (Seed to Series B)
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Experience and understanding of deep tech startups
  • Experience with CCUS or net zero technologies.
  • Experience in financing pilot plants.
  • Knowledge of grant applications, and collaboration opportunities within the public sectors.
  • Experience working in deep tech start-ups is highly desirable
